Good day and welcome,
Photography has been a part of my life since early childhood.
While not trusted with the camera, I was helping my brother to develop prints in a makeshift darkroom in the middle of the night.
Eventually, by saving my arcade allowance for about an year, I had enough money to buy my own camera,
which I did when I was 12 years old.
It was LOMO SMENA 8M and it forcefully taught me a lot about photography, by lacking almost everything you would expect on a modern camera. All settings and measurements had to be estimated and done manually (I still often trust my eye over the light meters).
I loved that little thing dearly.
As I turned 16, my parents gave me an SLR camera Zenit ET as a birthday present.
That can be viewed as a turning point when photography became more than just another hobby.
Currently, I shoot mostly in a digital format (Nikon became my weapon of choice for film and later digital, once Zenit was retired with honours). I still use slide film from time to time, mostly for nature shots, or any other occasion when there is a good opportunity to use film.
This site features a selection of my various photographs taken over the years (sorry, no b&w LOMO pics are planned to be shown).
Your comments and questions are always welcomed.
Many of the pictures are available for purchase.
Prints are done at the professional labs and can be shipped across the globe.
Please contact me for additional information.
Enjoy your stay and come back often!
Pavel
